Grégoire Simon’s live set moves across several music genres, blending experimental and electronic elements while allowing classical influences to shine through. With the viola as the central instrument—sometimes played with acoustic preparations—the setup is expanded by electronic effects and synthesizers, creating a sound that is both intimate and deeply immersive.
Grégoire Simon is a French violist, composer and music producer. Active in Berlin's independent scene for 15 years (with the soloist ensemble Kaleidoskop, the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra, the Trickster Orchestra), he was initially the solo violist of the renowned Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris. Known for his original arrangements, he also produces electronic music for the stage (dance and theater), which is performed throughout Europe.
DE: Grégoire Simon ist ein französischer Bratschist, Komponist und Musikproduzent. Seit 15 Jahren in der freien Szene Berlins aktiv (mit dem Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, dem Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra, dem Trickster Orchestra), war er zunächst Solobratschist des renommierten Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris. Bekannt für seine originellen Arrangements, produziert er auch elektronische Musik für die Bühne (Tanz und Theater), die in ganz Europa aufgeführt wird.
